The Kentucky basketball season unofficially starts just one week away, when the Wildcats head to the Bahamas on August 6 for a four-game, eight-day trip against professional teams.
After that, we’re just two months away from Big Blue Madness and three months away from the season-opener against Duke.
With basketball season right around the corner, Kentucky’s two key sophomore returnees, Quade Green and PJ Washington, are doing whatever it takes to prepare for what could be a special year.
Both Green and Washington headed to their respective hometowns and worked out with local trainers, where we got some pretty impressive footage.
Here’s Quade’s net-torching workout back home in Philadelphia :
Green’s high school coach told KSR on multiple occasions that the upcoming sophomore had a lot more to his game than he was able to show in his first year at Kentucky, and this video shows some of that. His ball handling looks tight and he looks extremely confident in his jumper. Very impressive.
And here’s PJ’s jumper-focused workout tape, where he started out cold but finished strong:

If Washington can develop into the knockdown shooter he’s striving to become, college basketball needs to be very, very worried.
Let’s get this season started already.
