WATCH: Diallo’s Pro Day for NBA teams in Los Angeles

Hamidou Diallo was in Los Angeles on Tuesday for BDA Sports Management’s Pro Day at UCLA’s Student Activities Center. Among the attendees to see Diallo were Pat Riley, Magic Johnson and Vlade Divac, as well as many other NBA scouts, GMs and personnel.

After putting on a show for his potential employers, Diallo said he was just trying to show who he is and how much energy he brings to the basketball court. He also raved about the L.A. weather and said he wishes he had visited UCLA. (Easy there, Hami.)

See his workout:

These “workouts” are pointless. No D to worry about, no clock, no fans, no teammates. The glazed-over look on Pat Riley’s face says it all, like “Why the f*** am I here?”

That look on Magic’s body language (wide eyed, smiling, but not turning his body toward him) says “we ain’t wasting no time on that guy”,

Physically, no doubt, has the tools to be an NBA player. Already looks the part. Just has to continue to work hard.

I don’t agree with the body language comments, particularly regarding Magic. Having watched Magic for the past 40 years, that seemed to me to be positive Magic body language especially since he was having conversations while watching. Pat Riley has seen all the greats so what do you expect him to do? Back flips? Hami will be in the league at some point.
