On Saturday evening, Kentucky took home a 67-53 victory over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, with sophomore guards Ashton Hagans and Immanuel Quickley leading the way with a combined 37 points on 14-22 shooting.
After the game, Hagans and Quickley talked to the media to break down their individual performances and Kentucky’s continued success as a collective unit.
In particular, Hagans discussed his improvement on offense, Calipari saying he gets sloppy at times because he’s “bored,” and his goal of cutting down on unnecessary turnovers moving forward.
As for Quickley, he discussed Kentucky’s success with a three guard lineup, what he thinks of Keion Brooks Jr.’s continued growth, and what he thinks is the next step for this team as the schedule continues to grow more difficult.
While you’re at it, you can also see what John Calipari said of the team’s victory over Georgia Tech, his former assistant coach – Josh Pastner – and his growth as a coach of the Yellow Jackets, and his desire to meet the Queen of England.
