Watch All of Malik Monk’s Historic 47 Points Against UNC

In case you didn’t get enough highlights from yesterday, watch Malik Monk score all of his historic 47 points. As seen in Sports Center’s graphic above, Monk surpassed both Terrence Jones and Jamal Murray for the most points scored by a freshman at UK.

There’s no doubt that Monk was on fire in Vegas. There were times where he couldn’t miss, no matter how intense the defensive pressure was put on him. At one point, you could hear the old NBA Jam commentary from arcades yelling, “From downtown….He’s on fire!”

Casinos in Las Vegas had to be happy that Monk isn’t 21, because with the day he had yesterday, he would’ve came home with the bank.

    I would like to see a shot chart on this performance. This is one record that is going to be very hard to top for any freshman Cal gets going forward.

    Best part of the highlight was right after Monk stopped time to pull out a dagger and drilled that three at the end. The camera pans to follow Monk and the look of horror on the UNC fans’ faces.
