Washington Wizards Waive Isaac Humphries

It looks like Isaac Humphries will be heading home to Australia sooner than expected.

Earlier today the Washington Wizards released the former Kentucky forward.  According to Fox Sports Australia basketball writer Olgun Oluc, Humphries will not play NBA Summer League basketball this year.

Humphries opted to turn pro and sign an agent after he averaged 2.8 points and 2.8 rebounds in 8.3 minutes per game in his second season at Kentucky.  Many scoffed at his decision, but he did enough during his two years at Kentucky to kickstart a long professional career in his home country.

Godspeed, Isaac.

I really don’t understand why he left but I respect his decision either way you look at it but personally I think he could’ve used another year

May have been his decision but doesnt mean it was the right one. He could have really built on that UNC game and possibly been an NBA pick next year. Best of luck to him though.

It was ALWAYS the plan to go back to Australia to play professionally. Why is this a shocker to anyone?
