Views from Day 1 of the Madness

It’s been a long and crazy first day of the Big Blue Madness Campout. Shout out for all of those who made the mad dash at 5:00 a.m. Luckily, the weather held out today. I’m keeping my fingers crossed it will last through tomorrow night when KSR takes over Tent City.

Enjoy sights from the insane scene and be sure to stick around till midnight, when the preseason basketball interview embargo is lifted. Drew’s been slaving away at the site all night to ensure awesomeness.

I knew wearing my KSR hat would ensure good things happened at Tent City 2015

I honestly think their should be a size restriction on the tents. Anything rated higher than a 3-man shouldn’t be allowed. Would allow more people to experience.

I think the exact opposite, as a long-time camper here. Anything smaller than a three-man, and people aren’t really camping in it. It’s scalpers from Louisville who come and put out 20 small tents and then leave them up, unattended, until they come back on Friday with a busload of interlopers.
Folks in the larger tents are family friendly, and actually camping, for the most part.
Anyway, the limitation is not the size of the tents, its the NUMBER. There is plenty of room at Stoll — but there are so many tents that UK says no more tickets are available.
