Vandy’s leading scorer suspended for the rest of the season

To say this is a rebuilding year for Vandy is like saying that Kevin Stallings love tacos. The ‘Dores are way down from previous years, and were dealt another blow of bad news yesterday when it was announced that starting point guard and leading scorer Eric McClellan is suspended for the rest of the season due to an academic violation. (Maybe he’s the one who needs the Barnes & Noble gift card or test prep course.)
McClellan is a sophomore that transferred from Tulsa, and started all 12 games this season, averaging 14.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.2 assists. Without him, the ‘Dores are down to only seven scholarship players. Four players left the team for various reasons in the offseason, and center Josh Henderson is out for the season with a knee injury.
What will McClellan do with his free time? A lot of this, probably:

when I see this GIF academics does not come to mind… violations, however, does seem appropriate.
…like loserville “indefinitely suspended” or Really Suspended?
Looks more like a thug from Ghetto U on Floyd Street than somebody at an “academic university.” I thought you had to at least be able to write your name properly on the SAT to get into Vandy.
How does he look like a thug? An idiot maybe, but not a thug
He just looks like a kid doing something goofy. I’m just thankful when I was young and just letting myself be me there were no cameras around to document how stupid I was.
I almost never call racism but that comment was racist as crap.
Well I think you comparing racist to crap is racist
Rei=racist
I’m confused. Was he suspended for the year for academic problems or because he’s a terrible dancer?
There’s always barber college
He was also arrested in September for misdemeanor theft, and that’s just coming out now. Couple that with other basketball players that have been kicked out, plus the football players charged with rape and covering up the act, and it looks like Vandy has really lowered their standards.
Ever wonder why all of the criminal activity in Tennessee is now in Nashville?
With Vandy with only 7 scholarship players, wouldn’t this be a great game to play more guys like Willis, Lee, Hood, Polson? Not only do they deserve some reward, but it is also in the middle of a three game stretch, could keep the starters fresh? I would like to see this guys with some game time also, in case of future injury or foul trouble.
No way they play more. Cal needs to shake the “rust” off of the starters before the Ark game. Whatever the hell “rust” is. You’re either ready to play or not.
Maybe if our starters could dance like this guy before the games, THAT would shake the “rust” off!
Rufus I agree,if you acted in that manner you were very lucky that there was not a camera around.
