Kentucky fans infiltrating the UofL student section at the Yum Center has become one of our favorite traditions over the years, but apparently, the UofL athletic department has had enough. Check out this email members of the Student Cardinal Athletic Fund (SCAF) received today, informing them that any students who wear an opponent’s colors or apparel will be forced to sit in the back row of the student section at basketball and football games:

LOL, nice try, Cards, but any Kentucky fan brave enough to wear a UK shirt in the UofL student section is also smart enough to wear a Louisville shirt over it long enough to secure their spot. Also, the SCAF has no control over the rest of the arena, which is routinely sprinkled with blue:

Kentucky fans are so persistent that blue even gets in to other games on Louisville’s schedule, such as the Duke game last week:

Yeah, good luck stopping that.

And again…UL confirms just how bush league they are. Jealousy has to be the engine that drives an entire school to make an organized effort to keep fans from opposing teams fans from UL homes games.

What they are to stupid to understand is UK fans buy SEASON tickets and sell all The games except UK, Duke, and UNC. UL struggles to sell out the Bucket, and prob 5K of their season ticket holders are actually UK fans. Silly card fans

I suppose I understand laughing at little brother about SCAF members (who presumably attend Louisville) showing up to UK/UL games to support the Cats.

But you do realize that, to get into “the rest of the arena”, all you have to do is buy a ticket, right? I don’t consider it some impressive feat that our fans get on StubHub and buy random tickets in our opponents’ arenas. Of course it demonstrates the passion of the #BBN, but it’s not like we need to pat ourselves on the back for blue “getting in.” Rant over.

A little brother solution to a little brother problem. Crap like this always makes me laugh when MJ insists they are a top ten program (historically).

    Dear Louisville Fans,

If you don’t like seeing Kentucky fans at your games, then buy tickets to those games yourselves. Problem solved.

I’ve always felt that trying to add selective pressure to your customer base was a bad thing. I don’t see how this scenario is any different. Just seems wrong to me.

Those of the wrong color are forced to sit in the back? This all sounds familiar…..
