UNC released its Notice of Allegations

It’s been a few weeks since North Carolina received its Notice of Allegations (NOA) from the NCAA and today, they finally released it to the public. The document is LONG and pretty boring, but in short, the NCAA charged UNC with five Level I violations connected to the academic fraud scandal, including a lack of institutional control. Level I violations are described by the NCAA as a “severe breach of conduct.”

The charges include providing improper benefits in the form of counselors making “special arrangements” with staffers for athletes enrolled in classes in the African/Afro-American Studies department. The women’s basketball team was mentioned specifically, while personnel from both the men’s basketball and football teams were not singled out. Roy Williams was mentioned once in reference to an interview he did with the NCAA. UNC has until August 20th to respond to the NOA.

Roy Williams could not be reached for comment, but his alter ego Daggum Roy had this to day:

North Carolina will get a slap on the wrist because the NCAA president went to UNC and they are the golden child of the NCAA. Move along, nothing to see here.

There will be pain brought on UNCheat, too much evidence against them. However, we must wait till at the latest March 2016 before we know for sure.

All that the UNC allegations do is improve Duke’s recruiting. Ingram being the most recent example. Tatum and Giles will be the next Duke guys because UNC has these scandals. Nobody wants to platoon, and nobody wants to be ineligible for the tournament. I see Duke going on a UK-like run with 4 final 4’s in 5 years, however they will actually get it done and cut down some more NETS.

Mitch should hire K from Duke.
