UNC receives Notice of Allegations from the NCAA

unc-f

It’s about to go down in Chapel Hill, y’all. According to Inside Carolina, UNC has received its Notice of Allegations from the NCAA. No further details are available right now.

Almost a year ago, the NCAA had reopened its 2011 investigation into academic irregularities after additional people agreed to cooperate. In October, the Wainstein Report was released, revealing nearly two decades worth of academic fraud involving over 3,100 students, 1,852 of which were student-athletes.

Happy Friday of Memorial Day Weekend, Tarheel fans!

Nothing will happen. The NCAA will say it’s a university issue rather than an athletics issue.

I have to agree with Catsby80 here…By the time this is over, North Carolina might get a slap on the wrist. That my friends would be the worse case possible.. In my opinion, they will make North Carolina its New Poster team for its excellence award of 2015…
The NCAA is not going to drag a dead man through the mud, because this crap has went on so long now, its goes back to the Dean Smith days, but everyone just turned a blind eye.. After all, Before Duke and Coach K became the little darlings of the NCAA…That’s right, it was Dean Smith and North Carolina as the teachers pets who always got the NCAA benefit of the doubt.. They could do no wrong, like the way it is today with Duke and coach K….There is just something about the NCAA and the ACC being bed partners when it comes to handing down punishment for a misdeed of its coaches and players…So, when I see the NCAA hand down a NCAA Post season ban for at least 2 years, and the loss of 2 scholly’s for 3 years, and no recruiting off campus for at least one year….I will believe the NCAA has done its job..otherwise, whats the use of wasting the time for a slap on the wrist…………
