Ulis shines in win over Ole Miss

After nearly losing this game last year, Kentucky got the job done against Ole Miss in Rupp Arena. The Cats took an early lead and never looked back, defeating the Rebels, 83-61.

The star for Kentucky was Tyler Ulis, again. He recorded his first career double-double with 20 points and a career-high 10 assists.

We also saw signs of progress with Skal Labissiere. He scored nine points and grabbed three rebounds before fouling out of the game.

1-0 in the SEC!

What would we have done last year had he taken the helm over Andrew. Liked them both but this guy is a distributor of the ball for the good of this team. And he makes great decisions.very glad he picked the cats to play for.

Won the last two games is what would have happened most likely.

About the only negative thing you can say about the game tonight was the free throw shooting. Brutal again by the same guys.

Nice to see Skal play better though.

Skal was not that good, zero defensive rebounds and 5 fouls in 14 minutes. I did like that he fought for the ball on offensive rebounds but when he got it in traffic he was very weak still. No steals, blocks or assist.

Let us look what the record shows for the year. Keep in mind I am a Tyler Ulis fan and was last year, but UK has two losses so far this year and who is at fault. Was it Tyler or other team members? We will most likely say other guys which is OK, but don’t use a double standard for Andrew. It wasn’t Andrew who lost the game it was other players. Aaron couldn’t buy a shot and neither could Booker. Willie went AWOL on us in that game. If either one of them shot well UK wins the game. If refs call shot clock violation on Wisc we still may have won it. My point is Andrew was a great player and so is Tyler.
