UK’s post-practice halfcourt shot did not go well

If you’re looking for a positive omen out of Kentucky’s NCAA open practice, this ain’t it.

If anything, this is a negative omen going into the Cats’ first-round game in Boise.

Watch as everyone on the team, coaches included, failed to sink the halfcourt shot to end the last practice. It’s a tradition we’ve seen for years, and this one did not go well.

Jonny David eventually hit one, several minutes later.

I’d wager to say that it’s a GOOD omen. We’ve had Cal hot one the day before we got crushed in SC. We have hit them before big losses. I think this is an omen that we will possibly shoot the lights out tomorrow. Odds are we won’t need to hit a half-courter during the game.
This…is how I choose to believe. It’s all about perspective.

Not sure this has all that much influence on the basketball gods.

Lord knows us Cats fans were desperate for a bad omen heading into a single elimination tournament. Thanks for delivering.
