UK just announced the fall grades for its athletic teams and, well, men’s basketball and football’s ain’t great. The men’s basketball team posted a 2.418 GPA for scholarship players and 2.547 for scholarship and non-scholarship players. That’s the lowest of the Calipari era and the lowest of all 20 UK sports teams. Meanwhile, the football team posted a 2.531 GPA for scholarship players and 2.655 GPA for scholarship and non-scholarship players, which is slightly below their mark for last spring, but above the mark for Fall 2015.
Women’s basketball, however, is getting it done, posting a 3.5 GPA. Women’s tennis had the highest GPA of any team at 3.653. Overall, UK’s teams combined for a 3.143 GPA, the ninth straight semester they have surpassed the 3.0 threshold.
