In news that won’t surprise you, the Kentucky/Louisville game was the most watched college basketball game EVER on ESPN2, the network announced this afternoon. The game posted a 2.1 overnight rating, which is apparently very, very impressive.
Imagine what the ratings would have been on ESPN or CBS.

I hate myself for not recording it as I was out of town watching with family. In fact, I would have thought it may be aired again this holiday week but…nothing on the tv guide.
I’m still on cloud 9 over that win like many!

For a regular season college game, that’s a pretty solid rating. I think the high water part of the NBA finals was in the 8/9 range, and even game 7 of the World Series barely broke 10.
Lot of people starting to realize the Cats are on a path to destiny…duke fans are coming out of the woodwork to claim they are the team who will knock us off. I would love to see that game in the finals. i’ll have my ticket to Indy and a fifth of Four Roses in tow.
And STILL they didn’t join it ’til 7:00-mins. in!
Idiots.
My guess is that it would’ve also set a record for Time Warner Cable channel 6 in Lawrenceburg if they showed it.
