UK Will Play the First Game in the Renovated Nassau Coliseum

Kentucky has played at a variety of neutral site venues in the John Calipari era, but none have been more random than this one.
On December 10, 2016, Kentucky will play Hofstra in the newly renovated Nassau Coliseum, according to Newsday. No, this isn’t another trip to the Bahamas, it’s the home of the New York Islanders. The old hockey arena broke ground this week on a $260-million renovation and will open its doors to a sporting event for the first time when the Kentucky Wildcats come to town.
I don’t know why Coach Cal is deciding to go to Long Island, but good for Hofstra. At least we have more than a year to figure out, “What’s a Hofstra?”

The Islanders don’t play at the Coliseum anymore, they move to the barclays center after last season.
