UK to play exhibition games against Georgetown and Pikeville

KSR’s super-secret sources tell us Kentucky’s two exhibition games next basketball season will be against Georgetown and Pikeville. Dates are still unknown but we’re confident we’ll see the Tigers and Bears on the schedule whenever it is released to the public.

Georgetown last traveled to Rupp Arena for an exhibition game in 2005. Pikeville got a taste of the Cats in John Calpari’s second season in Lexington in 2010.

No Battle on Broadway with Transy? The Transy v UK game seemed like a great way for Lexington to really show up and support the two teams in the city.

Wrong logo for University of Pikeville….you are using the old Pikeville College logo.

Is my fellow card Elisha “Bullet” Justice still on the Pikeville Roster? between my jumper and his NBA ability ( just ask john wall, LOL, he couldn’t handle Siva and Bullet), Pikeville might have a chance!!! If only we could get Cliff Rozier back to post up for us, you know, inside out game, oh wait, Big Cliff never passed, Dang.

John Wall couldn’t handle Siva? We call that revisionist history.

Not true. Elisha Justice graduated last year. He played 2 years at Loserville, transferred to Pikeville, did NOT have to sit out a year since he transferred to NAIA school, and played 2 years at Pikeville. His eligibility is done.

Yeah my bad he did graduate, he was still listed on the roster, but the roster is the 2013-14 season. my fault.

Crap, was hoping Morehouse was on the schedule again so we could recreate the 2011 smashing.

I am glad to see teams with true athletes will be coming in for the exhibition games. UK should not have any trouble winning either game but they will get a better test and it will be a more valuable experience for them than it would be playing Transy. UPike and Georgetown both have athletes far superior the to Transy players.

I can’t wait for this. Getting to see former Bullitt East players face off against each other. Corey Washburn on GU, Trey Rakes on UPIKE and Derek Willis on UK. Pumped as a friend of all of them. Hope I can go see it.

Too much to ask to try to add Murray State to the schedule at SOME point. The ONLY Kentucky school to NEVER play UK??? We deserve that matchup down in western KY….the forgotten part of the state.
