UK opens as a 14-point favorite vs. Mississippi State

Vegas has spoken and the Cats opened as a 14-point favorite in tomorrow’s game in Starkville. Kentucky’s 12-5 vs. the spread this season, and tomorrow night’s game could be a tricky one for you gamblers. Mississippi State’s 3-1 in the SEC and got an impressive win at Arkansas last week.¬†Whoulda thunk it after they lost to Central Florida, Lehigh, and ETSU earlier this year?

So…14 points. Do the Cats cover?

No chance, unfortunately. Surprised the spread is that much. Mississippi State is tough to read given their struggles early, and it’s tough to gauge just how good they are based on their SEC wins. I’d say the place will be lit, as the kids say, and they’ll play out of their minds. I think we win, but would be surprised if its more than 7 or 8.

    Cats win 85-78.

So you’re going to ask us about gambling before every game now. Sorry, don’t really care to share your addiction. But to be clear, no one knows whether the Cats will cover the spread. Absolutely no one. The people who smugly think they know are fools. And you know what they say about a fool and his money.

    Or her money.
