We as a fan base should be ashamed of ourselves by hyping up this team so much. Now everyone of my buddies “never, ever said we would go undefeated”. We all need to man up and admit that we was wrong , or it makes us look even worse. This team lacks fundamentals & heart. Man up BBN..

You have to differentiate between the best recruiting class and the best freshman class.
The 2012 Kentucky team was the best set of Freshman ever. The team was led by two freshman in AD and MKG as well as having a freshman starting PG in Teague and went 38-2 and won the title. Much better than the Fab Five in terms of performance.
The argument between whether the 2013 Cats recruiting class was better than the Fab Five as a recruiting class is based on the players as recruits.
Seperately you can decide whether given how good the recruiting class is whether the team’s performance is disappointing. Given how good the Kentucky recruiting class was as well as bringing back a few players I can see how people think it is disappointing, but that doesn’t mean people were wrong to call it a great recruiting class.

UL had one of the worst/easiest out of conference schedules in the country and they play in the AAC. They shouldn’t have any “bad” loses. Take off the blinders.
Do you remember Dec 28th? BY the by AP and Coaches polls don’t mean much, take a look at RPI. UK is 13th UofL is 32nd. UK has 6 wins in the top 100, UofL has 4.

The original post was wondering why UL is ranked ahead of UK and i said its because they have beat a quality opponent on the road, and uk has a bad loss. I never once tried to make a win against UC look better than what it is..
Bad losses are to teams outside of the RPI top 150, UK doesn’t have one outside of the top 100, neither does UofL. UK’s SOS is 5th whereas UofL is 72nd. So seriously don’t act like UofL has done so much better.
It’s a shame we don’t have an easy way to know who is the better team between UL/UK…..oh wait! We DO HAVE A WAY. UK HANDLED UL this year. UL had not looked impressive against decent to good teams. Beating UConn on the road is respectable, but not enough of a reason to bump them ahead of the team that beat them.

I love UL fans on a UK board. UL can not rebound with any team that has size, and yet UL is going to win it all this year? It took rick 12 years to get UL it’s 3rd ever chip.

What I like is they basically just switched Iowa St and Kansas in the polls. Kansas did have 2 big quality wins this past week, just not sure if it should sky rocket them up 7-8 spots in the polls.
Two wins over Top 10 teams in the week, including one on the road, will do that for ya. Where do you think Kansas should be, when you look at who they have beat and who they lost to?

Wisconsin? They lost TWICE to unranked teams last week, including once at home.
Iowa? wins over Ohio State, Minnesota and Xavier are their best then a huge dropoff to their 4th best win NEBRASKA.
Oklahoma State? We just beat them head to head and have better wins on our resume.
Louisville? They shouldn’t even be ranked.

My team has lost 3 straight games how are we even in the Top 25 still?
I posted after the UT game that UK’s week netted in a loss in the polls for the week. The Ark. loss was a bad loss plain and simple and the win over a mediocre UT did nothing to give the Cats a boost. Cats need a string of wins now to keep from falling more.
How can Louisville be ranked ahead of us? They’ve only beaten one quality team on the road, whereas we’ve beaten…oh.
Despite the drop in the poll Joe Lunardi moved us up to #9 and the first 3 seed in his latest bracket. The experts know that UK is slowly but surely getting it together and I think the way we fought against Arkansas and bounced back against Tennessee are definite signs of progress. Just need to keep getting better and put the whole package together. Keep it up boys, GBB!
I don’t think losing to Arkansas within the last secon of overtime AT Arkansas, where they have only lost once in 2 years as a bad loss.
