UK Coaches vs. UK Coaches: Who Wins?

There was a big debate on today’s radio show thanks to Randy, a caller, who pit all seven of Kentucky’s basketball coaches against each other, in various scenarios, in their prime at Kentucky. The seven hypotheticals sparked a fun discussion between Matt and Ryan, but now we want your opinions.

So do us a solid and answer the following questions:

Really? Not picking Billy G for the foot race?

Alan Cutler said Billy Clyde can run like the wind blows.

Exactly! BCG is the only one on the list whose foot race-winning ability is documented on video.

Billy is to beer as Sutton is to bourbon.

There is a late scratch, BCG has been removed from the contest for failing to meet the criteria. He was never achieved his ‘prime’.

I think Joe B. would hang in there in the fight, maybe not win, but, hey, he’s 87!

I think we’re neglecting Tubby’s laser stare. He would make other coaches wilt before the match even started.

Absolutely. When Tubby was at Tulsa or somewhere, two of his players were involved in a skirmish on the floor, He grabbed them both and tossed them around like rag dolls, and his eyes were shooting flames.

Sutton would not have the most friends to call. If he had he wouldn’t have hit so many trees lining the streets of Lexington. He could have called a friend to pick him up. And that picture makes him look like a character from a SNL skit.

The “Baron” would win in a fight. I knew Adolph Rupp and the rest of the coaches could not stand up to the ‘man in the brown suit’…he WAS a fighter!
