Tyler Ulis had more stitches than turnovers

ulis1

Tyler Ulis needed three stitches near his right eye after the game, but most of the damage was done to the Louisville Cardinals in this one. Ulis was the star of the game, scoring a career-high 14 points, 12 of those coming in the second half. The freshman point guard added two assists and zero turnovers.

Ulis’ big day caught the attention of at least one former Cat in the NBA. Nerlens Noel voiced his support of the little guy on Twitter during the game:

Then Jarrod Polson delivered the tweet of the day, saying he’s glad he wore No. 3 in his senior season because he now owns a bunch of Tyler Ulis jerseys.

Even with one eye Tyler was the best player on the court.

The awesome part was Ulis getting hit and didn’t miss a beat on defense. Didn’t even know he caught an elbow to the eye until they took him out!! Then Chris Jones took an AIR elbow, flopped on the floor and held his jaw for 5 minutes….
