The SEC Freshman of the Week award is coming to Kentucky for the fifth time in six weeks.

This time it is Tyler Herro who earned the conference’s Freshman of the Week award, following Kentucky’s wins at Georgia and at Auburn. Herro averaged a team-high 16 points, five rebounds and four assists per game in the two victories. He’s also made 17 consecutive free throws and leads the team in scoring in the last 11 games.

It’s the second Freshman of the Week trophy for Herro this season, tying him with teammates Ashton Hagans and Keldon Johnson, who also have two apiece.

Go Cats.

Ol slow jump shot herro still needs another year. He struggles to get that 3 off and in the nba he get deatoyed rt now. His handles are still suspect and has issues against height. In the nba at the 2 and 3 hell regularly face 6’8″ -6’11” guys .

These types of posts are not needed. What do posters … and some KSR writers … feel the need to constantly pee on everything. Is it marking territory or an indication it is nap time?

Everything you mentioned is a skill that can be worked on, except height, and plenty of guys have done great in the league under 6’5”. He’s a Booker type to me, and will undoubtedly grow in those skills over the next few months. Booker was good in college, not great, but has grown into a beast in the NBA.

Ibescootch, I agree with you. This kid is just now really getting it going. He’s got a world of talent and now that the game has slowed down for him he could possibly be on the All SEC First team this year. I have no idea what that sith kid is talking about a slow shot!!! He got a quick trigger and it may be the prettiest form in all of college basketball. Not one of these negative Nancy boys have ever Gotten away from their moms house yet but she’ll always be there for them to pay the Direct Tv bill so they can watch the games and complain. Hahahahaha

Comments above about height. Wouldn’t be out of the question for a college freshman to get an inch or two taller. Why can’t we just let these guys enjoy this season without trying to forecast their futures in regard to potential pro careers.
