Two coaches still not giving UK their first place votes

UK is the unanimous #1 in the AP poll for the third week in a row, and while they are also #1 in the USA Today/Coaches poll, two coaches still aren’t giving the Cats their first-place votes. Who are they? Let’s look at the list of voters and take our best guess once again…

Tommy Amaker, Harvard
Randy Bennett, Saint Mary’s
Jim Boeheim, Syracuse
Todd Bozeman, Morgan State
Glenn Braica, St. Francis Brooklyn
Rick Byrd, Belmont
Scott Cherry, High Point
Tim Cluess, Iona
Ed Conroy, Tulane
Keith Dambrot, Akron
Scott Drew, Baylor
Matt Driscoll, North Florida
Steve Fisher, San Diego State
Bruiser Flint, Drexel
Mark Fox, Georgia
John Gallagher, Hartford
Ray Harper, Western Kentucky
Dick Hunsaker, Utah Valley
George Ivory, Arkansas-Pine Bluff
Ben Jacobson, Northern Iowa
Rob Jeter, Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Danny Kaspar, Texas State
Mike McConathy, Northwestern State
Greg McDermott, Creighton
Matt Painter, Purdue
Dave Paulsen, Bucknell
Randy Rahe, Weber State
Joe Scott, Denver
Herb Sendek, Arizona State
Shaka Smart, Virginia Commonwealth
Bob Williams, UC-Santa Barbara
Mike Young, Wofford

I wonder if a win over Louisville will be enough to convince Amaker and Boehiem–I mean, whichever coaches are still voting for Duke and Arizona–that the Cats are the best team in the land.

Maybe they don’t want to vote for Kentucky or maybe they hate Kentucky we all know Kentucky is #1

Jim Boeheim and former Pitino assistant Herb Sendek….. Shaka Smart possibly could be one.

Kentucky could have just won the championship five minutes ago and Boeheim wouldn’t vote them #1.

It’s not that far of a reach to think Duke could be number one. I know that’s like treason to say, but until they are beat, they are very much a contender.

yeah i mean i’m certainly not a duke fan, but they’re really not bad. they’ve got some nice players on their team and i hope we get an opportunity to play them. as for arizona, however, I don’t see a scenario in which they are the number 1 team in the country. no offense to them, but really it is a two horse race at this point. that all could change in due time, but at this point, uk and duke should be the only two teams receiving first place votes in my opinion.

Just a matter of hatred for UK or Cal not anything to do with basketball. We all know Baldheim is one and will Never vote UK #1. Who the other is does not matter. Those two should lose voting rights simple as that as Everyone knows it is hands down UK #1. Two grown men acting like children.

Who cares. They can vote us 25th. Anybody who knows anything about basketball knows what’s up.

ultimately, these polls don’t mean anything. as long as we continue to handle business, everything else will fall into place… on a side note, i do think that virginia is a team to watch out for. i think virginia is the 3rd best team in the country at this point.

Boehiem is definitely one of them…there is no question about that.

Is there a team in the top 25 who has played a schedule even close to what UK has. Every time I look at scores its Duke vs Elon, or Virginia vs Harvard, or UL vs WKU. When are the top teams gonna play someone respectable.
