Tom Crean is on LSU’s Radar

Come on, you know you wanna see it.

According to Gary Parrish of CBS Sports, LSU is looking at Crean as a potential replacement for Jonny Jones.

This is a very early development, of course, but Crean’s potential addition would really add some depth to the SEC coaching pool. Seeing his silly face when UK beats LSU every year would just be icing on the cake.

I think Crean would do okay there. Certainly a step up for LSU. He’s better suited for a job like that.

Have we gotten any great players out of Louisiana? Seems like we always miss out on Louisiana superstars

LSU is the new place where coaches go to die.

I can say that if Crean never coached again that would be fine with me. He is only 1 Wade away from being a lousy coach.

“Seeing his silly face when UK beats LSU every year would just be icing on the cake.” Stupid comment, you do know we lost to LSU badly just last year { a terrible LSU team by the way} and I believe we have lost the last 2 games vs Crean, I know we lost the last one in last years tourney, and they were not a very good team.

we have not lost the last two vs crean. now you sound like an indiana fan that wants to forget that we destroyed them in the 2012 rematch in the tournament.

crean would win the weak sec…he won the big ten conference and owns cal, thats why cal didn’t want that Indiana game because he knows crean owns him

Sorry that your ACC was/is overrated.

Crean was hired in 2008. since 2008, indiana went 2-4 against UK. that’s not exactly the criteria i would use to describe “owning somebody”

Crean owns Cal? Crean doesn’t own a suit that looks good, let alone own Cal. Crean won 2 games against Cal. Both were hard fought games, win IU had a great shooting night. Remember, even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then, and Crean did it twice. That doesn’t mean he is a good coach, or a better coach than Cal

I always thought Crean would be good at a school like LSU, where basketball isn’t the main focus. I think we can all agree that he will never be an elite coach. However, I could see him make LSU a very solid team that will be tough to beat. This only makes the SEC stronger (if it happens).
