Today on KSR: On the Road to Catlanta

We are one day away from Kentucky’s seventh Sweet 16 appearance in nine years.  As we speak, Mrs. Tyler Thompson and Drew Franklin are on the road to Catlanta.  They’ll be inside Philips Arena at 2:05 when John Calipari and select players take the podium.  Unfortunately, the practice that follows will not be open to the public, but Mrs. T and Drew will let you know what went down.

While they make their way down I-75 South, the team touched down in Georgia yesterday.

UK Alumni Association Pep Rally in Atlanta

Heading to Catlanta?  Before you go to Phillips Arena, stop by next door at the Georgia World Congress Center.  The UK Alumni Association will hold a pep rally from 5:00-7:00 at the Social Table in the building adjacent to Phillips Arena.  The UK band and cheerleaders will be there, along with limited spirit wear supplies.  Find more details here.

Alabama Professors have No Chill

I don’t think anyone would throw this kind of shade at an Alabama football player.  Just saying.

UK Baseball Routes Xavier

After dropping a mid-week game to the Musketeers early in the season, Kentucky received revenge in Cincinnati.  The Bat Cats hit SEVEN homeruns to win 20-4 and regain some momentum ahead of a weekend series at The Cliff against Auburn.

UK Softball Stars Honored

After thumping No. 8 LSU all weekend long, third baseman Abbey Cheek was named SEC Player of the Week and pitch Grace Baalman was named SEC Freshman of the Week.  Four wins vaulted Kentucky up five spots to No. 19/18 in the national polls.  The best of the best from their sweep of LSU:

NAIA Title Decided in Overtime at the Buzzer

Graceland University in Iowa broke a tie with this unbelievable three-pointer at the buzzer to claim the NAIA DI National Championship.

It Just Means More

Just ask a Louisville fan.  They’ll tell you.

Rewatching the A&M game on SEC…wow, it’s amazing to look back at how much this team has grown since then. Like night and day…

Anyone notice no Vanderbilt in the practice video?

Might be able to slide this week without him,

if we make it to the four we will need him.

I expect a Kentucky Duke title game, Vando matches perfectly with Bagley

    1. Professors hate being asked how a test is “going to be.” What are they supposed to say? “Easy. You don’t need to study.”

    2. An Alabama football player wouldn’t experience losing the way the basketball team has.
