Let me take you back to a time, not all that long ago, when DeMarcus Cousins was a 19-year-old kid playing for a much younger-looking John Calipari at the University of Kentucky. During that time, Cousins and his teammates made a trip to New York City, where they would defeat UConn in Madison Square Garden in the early part of the 2009-10 college basketball season.
But before Cousins recorded a double-double against the 19th-ranked Huskies, he took a camera and a microphone around the busiest part of the Big Apple to interview people on the street. It was one of the first good looks at Cousins’ fun personality that Big Blue Nation grew to love.
