Man that’s tough to see… great kids that proved an awful lot to everyone. Heck of a season guys hate that it ended too soon

Knowing they have bright futures, but will never have it like this again. Proud of those guys!

I never use refs as an excuse, but they took a lot of wind out of their sails.

You seriously think refs are never an excuse? It’s not justice when you have to play 5 on 8 for a whole half. That is just fact. REFS HAVE, DO, AND WILL CONTINUE TO COST GAMES.

and now this! We MUST do something about this. As Cal said in the presser, the video footage is there for all to see.

It’s refreshing to see them care that much. Honestly.
But it doesn’t change the fact that the whole team will be gone by next week.

It’s not new, it’s how it’s been since cal got hired. But I’m sure whining every year will change it. Would u rather have a 2-3 star that in 4 years may be good? Why not get the best, yeah it sucks seeing them go but I’ll take one year of fox over 4 years of mediocrity every single time

Or you could get very good players that are Jrs and Srs, like UNC has. You CAN’T win a title relying on Freshman. Good gosh if the 38-0 season does not show you that nothing will. Add poor coaching and it is more fire power. We were up 5 with about 5 to go, UNC timeout. Come out in a zone and go on 12-0 run. That is coaching by Roy and lack of an answer by Cal. Once they got the lead by 1, maybe even before, he should have burned one of his three timeouts and made an adjustment. One could have been putting Hump back in and getting No D Willis out. He gave up point after point after point, and was no where near his guy on the game winner.

Cal can’t coach Huh? Where’s coach K and little Ricky? Got upset as two seeds….but they can coach Huh? Give it a rest guys! You can’t win it every year! It’s heartbreaking to get close and lose BUT I’d rather do that than get knocked out early a lot.

Well, lord knows, Roy doesn’t recruit one and dones…oh, wait…
“Yeah, there’s a difference, he got them and I didn’t. I recruit the same guys,” Williams said he recruited all three of UK’s freshmen. “That’s the only difference is they got them and we didn’t. We’ve got to try to figure out a way to compete with them and go from there.”

I feel for the players, I really do.
But, until Cal accepts it and it means as much to him – as it does them, besides the bullshit “the draft is the greatest day in UK history” (paraphrased)… then we’ll see plenty more days like this. Cal at UK is not built to get much further. 2012 was something different. Bash if ya want, but it’s true.
Damn, hate it for the guys, particularly the Sr.’s.
    There’s always next year.

2012 was only different because we had the fab Fab Fr in Davis but it was Miller, So Lamb and So Jones that was big in Final 4, especially on offense. It was not different, it was vets

Not built to get much further? There’s not much further in existence. Only 2 more games for 2 team. He has twice as many final fours as any other coach during his time at UK. He has a championship and a runner up. Every other team would love to get to the final four half the time and to the finals 25% of the time. Smdh.

Right, there’s a reason no coach constantly wins championships. It’s a very very hard thing to do, Coach K has struggled quite a bit in the tourney lately, as have plenty of “great” coaches. To make it this far consistently is a huge feat. We had plenty of experience this year so I don’t really understand that argument although I agree it’s probably hurt us some years

Bobbum how can you compare those guys to Miller, Lamb and Jones. Yes Dom played great so he and Miller can be a wash. But “no D” Willis is terrible at D and has a terrible shot. Will never be a consistent shooter with that form, Lamb made huge shots and played D, “no D” Willis did not do either one today. Plus all 3 played in FF the year prior, not getting beat by Loosiers in round 2. And Hump has not played all year, he has little experience but did play great today. Sad he did not get much chance all year to play but overall this teams experience is not close to 2012 in talent and contributions.

We are Bbn cares only for the refs, thanks to his AAU Ref experience. Don’t even bother to debate him.
We have 8 players that are NOT one and done (at least) but that is irrelevant to the all-knowing BBN- the most sarcastic screen name in KSR history.

Jimmy Chitwood is not walking through that door.
Let’s get 8 guys from KY that are top 200 and we will win 3 NC after they stay 4 or 5 years.

They all played great. Just not the ending I hoped would occur.

Not matter what, I am Proud of all the players on this years team.
They showed how much they care and that being a Wildcat means something.

Thank you all for giving us so much of you.

I for one am very proud of these kids. They showed heart and determination throughout the season. Wouldn’t have had it any other way even though the ending was not what we would all hope for. I know we have a great class coming in next year and there’s always next year to win a championship but it still doesn’t take this sting out of this one. I just wish those kids the best in their lives and careers and who knows maybe somebody will stay. Love coach Cal too and I’m glad we gave him an extension on his contract

Maybe Calipari just isn’t that good. We panic in big games, and his only title was when we had AD. Also, having all these fresman doesnt seem to help.

    Also, UK sucks. Go Hoosiers.

This was one of the most exciting teams to ever play at KY. In their hearts, they know they were the better team. There should be no regrets. They played hard. They can hold their heads high.
