The special edition Kentucky Nikes are already sold out

nikessoldout

Earlier this week, Nike announced the release of special edition Kentucky Free Trainers, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen the state so excited about a pair of shoes. The shoes officially went on sale on Nike’s website this morning, and after fifteen minutes, sold out. That’s gotta be a record, right?

Not surprisingly, the shoes, which retail for $110, are already popping up on eBay, with some listed for $350.

Also not surprisingly, the Duke shoes are still available on Nike’s website.

Thank you so much. You just saved my day. I had it on my calendar to order them at 10, but did not log on until 10:30 and they were gone. Was really bummed until I saw this. Had to get 11.5 instead of 12, but I have a pair. Thanks you!

I imagine the Duke students, alumni and fans have a lot less free time in the mornings to buy shoes because they’re (1) in class, (2) at jobs or (3) spending their money on reigning championship apparel.

Because no one in the entire state of North Carolina is unemployed, and every single person over the age of 18 in the state went to college or is currently in college….

Yet a person who is clearly not a UK fan finds time to post comments on a Kentucky website. That’s interesting. Maybe you should find a job, or a hobby, or something worthwhile. You very clearly have quite a bit of free time yourself.

Nike’s website screwed me on this. Got on there exactly at 10:00, got in the line queue, had them in my cart, and then logged into my Nike.com account which caused me to lose them from my cart. Tried to re-add and they were sold out. Called Nike and they said there was nothing they could do. Hope they sell more of these…

Are these just a limited run, or will more be sold? I tried to find 15s everywhere but everyone that had the shoes in stock only had up to 14s.

they look like a pretty crappy pair of shoes for $110 … go to nikeid and design a pair of air max or something and put “UK” or “Kentucky” in the places it lets you add text … you’ll be the only person with that shoe you design and yours will actually be good quality

They are out of large sizes. If you select them they won’t go to the cart. A message says they are out of that size.

UGH I wish I had seen this before everything went on sale. I would love 2 pairs of these but no way i’ll pay scalper prices. Every shoe I own is Nike besides my walmart shit mowing shoes.

All the sites that appear to have them you can’t add to cart. Need size 14 🙁
