We finally have our officiating crew for Kentucky’s matchup with Tennessee in Knoxville this afternoon.
Don Daily, Joe Lindsay, and Byron Jarrett will be roaming the floor during the top-10 matchup afternoon.
With Daily on the floor, Kentucky is 14-3 for a winning percentage of 82.3 percent since he started officiating UK games back in 2011. In 17 total games, Daily has called technicals in just three of those matchups, with the most recent coming last year against Nick Richards against Tennessee State.
As for Lindsay, who first officiated a Kentucky game back in 1998, the Cats have an overall record of 67-14 (82.7 percent) with the veteran referee on the court. In 81 possible games, Lindsay has called technicals in just eight of those matchups, with Sacha Killeya-Jones being the most recent against Louisville in 2017 as part of a double technical.
With Jarrett, the record isn’t as great for the Wildcats, as the team has a 10-4 record (71.4 percent) with him on the floor since he first started officiating Kentucky games in 2015. In fact, UK is on a three-game losing streak with Jarrett on the call (Florida at Kentucky, Tennessee at Kentucky, and Kentucky at Florida, all in the 2017-18 season).
A double technical was called with Jarrett on the floor in Kentucky’s victory over Wright State in 2015 and there were four technical fouls called in Kentucky’s victory at Mississippi State back in 2017.
