It is a glorious Wednesday morning after the Cats earned yet another victory last night, the squad’s fifth in six SEC games this season. Kentucky sits in second place in the league behind unbeaten LSU following the win over the Fighting Anthony Edwardses of Georgia.

Check out the numbers from the win:

And the photo gallery:

Now, Five Fun Facts from the game:

(1) Not only did Ashton Hagans lead the team in scoring with 23 points, he extended his streak of games with five or more assists to 15 consecutive games, the longest streak of that kind since Tyler Ulis did it in 24 straight games in 2015-16.

(2) Hagans is the first player in the Calipari era to have at least 23 points, nine assists, and four steals in a game. (h/t @coreyp08)

(3) With 20 points from Nick Richards, he now leads the team in scoring on the year, as well as rebounds, blocks and field-goal percentage, like everyone expected.

(4) EJ Montgomery reached double-figure scoring for the first time since the Fairleigh Dickinson game. He needed that.

(5) Johnny Juzang has set a new career high in scoring in each of the last two games with five at Arkansas and six against Georgia. Kentucky needed that.

Watch Kash Daniel, Calvin Taylor and TJ Carter show off the Belk Bowl trophy.

The three former Wildcats were introduced to the Rupp Arena crowd with the unedited version of “Grove St. Party” followed by the shattering of glass and then Stone Cold Steve Austin’s theme music.

Hopefully, the celebration of the football program’s success caught the attention of some very important visitors in the crowd. Among them, Lexington’s own Jager Burton, a four-star offensive guard at Frederick Douglass High School.

You can also watch John Calipari’s postgame press conference.

While we are watching things, how about…

The Kansas-Kansas State Brawl/606 By Gawd Mash-Up you didn’t know you needed:

Sound up.

Tennessee travels to Kansas this weekend for the SEC/Big 12 Challenge, but will the Vols have anyone to play?

Walter McCarty is no longer the head coach at Evansville.

The Purple Aces parted ways with the former Kentucky Wildcat (and Evansville native) after an investigation into McCarty’s alleged misconduct around campus.

“As part of the ongoing inquiry, investigators have gathered evidence and interviewed witnesses, including Mr. McCarty,” the UE president wrote in a letter to the community. “The investigation has uncovered persistent and troublesome facts regarding Mr. McCarty’s conduct, including attempts to improperly influence witnesses in the investigation. While the Title IX investigation will continue as required under our policies and by federal law, it has become abundantly clear that Mr. McCarty’s behavior violated the terms of his contract, making his continued employment untenable.”

In a span of two months McCarty went from beating No. 1 Kentucky in Rupp Arena to losing his job over his off-the-court behavior. It is sad for a guy who is adored across the Bluegrass, but he has no one to blame but himself.

You can hear Matt Jones, Ryan Lemond and Shannon The Dude talk about everything I just mentioned, and more, on KSR.

Tune in in one hour.

Go Cats.

Nice pic of Tom Crean, and she asked “How Big”?

That, or maybe he just enjoyed the old Kids in the Hall “crushing your head” skit a little too much, and thought he would try it on the refs.

I noticed confidence growing in EJ, Brooks, and Juzang…a good sign.
