The Cats woke up to fire alarms at their hotel on three separate occasions before the game in Tuscaloosa, but nothing could faze Kentucky.
The Wildcats won by nine on the road, 67-58. It was Kentucky’s first defensive showcase after their slight midseason slump. Kentucky held Alabama to just 21 percent from behind the three-point line and forced 16 turnovers. Malik Monk led UK in scoring with 17 points. Isaiah Briscoe had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Bam Adebayo added 14 points and 7 rebounds.
Alabama’s last SEC Tournament win over Kentucky was 34 years ago today. Since that game in 1983, UK is 9-0 in matchups with the Crimson Tide in the SEC Tournament.
