The Kentucky basketball team is back on campus, and they’re not playing games.
Last night, the official UK men’s basketball account on Twitter posted the image above following the team’s late-night workout session at the Joe Craft Football Training Facility practice fields.
And then today, we also got a video of the team’s summer workout with Kentucky basketball strength coach Rob Harris as the Wildcats were winding down:

In terms of returning/veteran players, there is a noticeable difference from last year to this one.
Looking at Ashton Hagans alone, he looked mighty thin in some of the photos taken of him early last year.
Back in June, we got this gem from the fine folks at UK Athletics:
EJ Montgomery is noticeably bigger, specifically in the upper body, with Nick Richards also definitely looking the part. Immanuel Quickley has always had a small frame, but even he looks to have built a ton of core strength. Nate Sestina has been with the program for just a few months, and he already looks like the Incredible Hulk.
In terms of the incoming freshmen, Kahlil Whitney is jacked, but it looks like the rest still have a bit of work to do to catch up with their veteran peers.
Not long after Kentucky released the picture featured at the top of this post, the Tennessee men’s basketball team posted a similar image on their own Twitter account.
And with just enough filtering and Photoshop touch-ups, they got theirs to look a wee bit more impressive than Kentucky’s.
