The Four Best Non-Basketball Things from the Kentucky-Florida Game

1. The New Boogie and The Brow Cam

The new scoreboard-that-must-not-be-named has been a fantastic addition to Rupp Arena.  It’s not just the replays and stats, it’s because of gimmicks like this.  Of all the crowd-pleasers, the “Boogie and The Brow” cam takes the cake.

2. The CBS Natural Sound Mystery

I believe I finally got to the bottom of Chester’s squeaky sneaker conspiracy theory.  The reason why the natural sound of the shoes squeaking seems piped in, is because their nat-sound is a half-second slow.  You can hear the ball hit the rim when the shot has just reached its apex.  Once you notice it, you can’t un-notice it.  Hopefully it’s fixed before the NCAA Tournament starts.

3. This Guy

I don’t know who he is, but I want to watch a Kentucky basketball game with this guy.

4. Naked Bill Walton

Whoops, wrong game.

Ky Wildcats TV just released the intro video created specifically for today’s game and of course, it’s pretty awesome.

If you hear the ball hitting the rim at the time the ball is reaching its apex wouldn’t that make the sound a half second fast not slow?
