Rest of the SEC looking super weak. Florida at 37th is the second best team? League needs to step it up.

Why are we waiting for the SEC to get better? Why not get out of the SEC and into a better conference, like B1G or the Big 12?

      For 2 reasons:
      A) UK Bball is obviously incredibly successful, but football is the predominate focus for monetary reasons. The SEC is king.
      B) While the SEC has been weak the past 5-6 years, it’s still a power 5 conference and moving conferences takes time and money. The SEC was and likely will be successful again. Can you imagine if every 2 years major basketball programs moved conferences to continually try and get ahead of people and jump to the next big thing conference? We already have enough conference realignment. We don’t need basketball powerhouses jumping ship every 30 seconds to try and find the greenest pasture each year.

The Big 12??? Kansas is the only good team in the Big 12. There is a reason Kansas wins their conference every year, and it’s that the rest of their conference is subpar.

It’s called $$$$$. No other conference pays out like the SEC. Lose that money and you will have less for recruiting, scholorships, travel, housing, CATS program, and coaches salaries. You could of course revert back to the good old days when on one sports team lived it up and all other teams were on a shoestring budget. University athletic programs has just about caught up with other schools in the conference and country.

Bam reminds me of Cousins, without the range and attitude issues. Bam seems to be a little slow at changing direction, and not quite as good at avoiding contact as Cousins was at this stage. I expect to see some foul trouble from Bam early in the season, but by the end of the season I’m betting the comparisons to Cousins will be more prevalent.

Bam has a decent midrange jumper, and when you see him dunk with his head above the rim, he reminds me more of a Shawn Kemp or Amare Stoudemire type.
