The Competition is Heating Up in the BBN Jam Sweet 16

Not every tournament can be filled with first round upsets and Cinderella stories. That’s what makes March Madness so special. In KSR’s BBN Jam Tournament the upsets have been few and far between… so far. That all may soon change.

The Unibrow and Unbelievables Regions went completely chalk in the first round, albeit with a few close finishes. Our first upset favored this year’s Wildcats, with Immanuel Quickley and Nick Richards advancing over the 2005 team. In the Unforgettables Region, its namesake could not even win one game with Pelphrey and Farmer falling to Turner and Padgett’s 1999 squad.

The closest matchup of the tournament so far saw Jamal Murray and Tyler Ulis fall by only 50 votes to Brandon Knight and Terrence Jones’ 2011 Final Four team. As you’ll see below in the updated bracket, there are some highly contested contests on the horizon.

Take a closer look at The Unibrow Region where it would not shock me to see the lower seeds advance.

Do you value physicality and athleticism or outside scoring? That philosophical outlook will determine the outcome of the Unbelievables Region.

The stars of Pitino’s 1996 Championship team could go toe-to-toe for a spot in the Final Four.

A Coach Cal team will get a crack at one of the best teams from the late 90s. The questions is, who?

The competition is heating up. Prepare accordingly.
