The Calipari family made a donation to the locker room makeover

We may never know where all of the $4 million in private funds will come from to overhaul the Joe Craft Center locker rooms, but we do know that some of it will come from the family that lives in that fenced-in house across from Idle Hour on Richmond Road.

That’s right: John and Ellen Calipari donated an undisclosed amount of scratch toward the renovation of John’s men’s basketball locker room in the Craft Center.

Earlier today he said, “It’s great for these kids. They’re here, they’re working. They deserve to feel good.”

Coach is amazing and I often wonder how much we take for granted since he’s been here the last several years.

Kind comments. CAL’s well paid. And highly regarded. My admiration is in the fact that he attends Mass daily. That’s one dedicated man of God. Who is accustomed to doing the right thing – daily – always. His association with KENTUCKY has benefitted both his constitution – and our institution.

Not to be negative, but there are a few former players that could fund this from pocket change. I wonder if any former players kicked in?
