This UK/UNC Alumni game is getting so good, it’s almost too good to be true.  With stacked rosters on both sides, the four-letter network could not resist.  The September 13th alumni showdown will be nationally televised on ESPNU.

Even though it will be on the tube, it’s hard to resist watching this historic event in person.  Click here for tickets, and check out the rosters below.

Kentucky

  • Demarcus Cousins
  • Eric Bledsoe
  • Brandon Knight
  • Patrick Patterson
  • Karl Towns
  • Devin Booker
  • Trey Lyles
  • Willie Cauley-Stein
  • Anthony Davis (will be there, but we’re unsure if he’ll actually play)

North Carolina

  • Harrison Barnes
  • Danny Green
  • Rasheed Wallace
  • John Henson

I’m no mathematical genius, but the rules of basketball tell me you need 5 to field a team. Where’s the rest of the Tar Heels?

The funny thing is, its still more than Louisville would be able to provide. LOL

Blue, unless your coach is Norman Dale… “My team is on the floor.”

The other Tarheels couldn’t read their invitation to play.

Maybe Christian Laettner could play for them. I would like to see him try to step on Cousins head!!!!!

I love the UNC stacked lineup. Is Bill Guthridge or George Karl gonna have to soit up? lol. Let’s hope so. Boogie could threw an unintentional yet intentional elbow!

One of his most memorable games is at Rupp against UNC when he made those 5 3s. Would be a lot of nostalgia

Right now it’s silly for UNC to be in this game, destroyed in PR by team comparisons. But if MJ comes to play tho who you guys think young recruits get more hyped for?

I still think UK. These kids were in diapers when MJ played. If they saw him at all it was for the Wizards.

With the uniforms saying pros then if we had Louisville alumni as the opponent then it would be pros vs cons

I hate the fact that the game is on the opening Sunday for the nfl and Cincinnati plays @ 430, but I’ll still be watching my CATS instead of who dey.
