The 2015 Draft Cats are on the wall at the Joe Craft Center

@CoachCalDotCom

One of the most impressive features of the Joe Craft Center are the large posters of each UK player in the NBA that line the walls of the practice gym. Today, @CoachCalDotCom tweeted out pictures of the new posters that went up of the 2015 Draft Class, highlighted by the #1 pick Karl Towns.

They also updated the posters that needed it:

In the immortal words of Roy Scheider, pretty soon, we’re going to need a bigger gym.

    Why is the name of a sandwich larger than the players’ names?

      It’s a delicious sandwich, let it be.

    Why do all of the posters say “PANINI” on them? Anyone know?

    Not trying to be a downer here, but isn’t it kind of cheating if they aren’t actually in the NBA yet (or drafted)?

      They have signed contracts and preseason games have started.

      Those guys have been drafted, the NBA draft was in June. And in what way would this be cheating anyway…?

      It’s kind of cheating to say “we got all these players to the NBA” if some of them are actually in the D league. Premature may be better word.

      Is it the same kind of cheating as UNC trying to claim a couple of extra national championships, complete with banners?

      The D-League is affiliated with the NBA, obviously. So while I kind of get your point, it seems like that’s kind of splitting hairs. Plus, they were still drafted by those NBA teams (with the exception of Aaron), so I really don’t see what difference it makes, especially since even getting to that point is an accomplishment worth celebrating.

    Should they put Andrew in his D-League jersey? Seriously, I understand glorifying all the pros, but Andrew is not actually a story we should be glorifying. Olin and simple he should still be in school.

      Better his D-League jersey than a prison uniform, which is what so many Cards end up being photographed in. Enjoy the annual loss in December, it’s “olin and simple” that that’s going to happen again.

    ” In the immortal words of Roy Scheider, pretty soon, we’re going to need a bigger gym”

    Roy Scheider never said that.

    “To paraphrase Roy Scheider’s famous line from JAWS, we’re gonna need a bigger gym”. FIXED
