Tent City is at capacity with 585 tents

That didn’t take long. Four hours after the camp grounds around Memorial Coliseum opened up, “Tent City” reached capacity at 585 tents. Last year, fans broke the previous record by setting up 760 tents, but space for this year’s campout was limited by construction.

That means no new campers will be able to set up their tents and therefore no control cards for free tickets will be issues to those not already camped out. Don’t worry, you can still try your luck with on Friday night at 10 p.m., which is when tickets will be distributed to campers. Control cards will be issued to campers on Friday at 2 p.m., and fans are encouraged to start lining up for Friday night’s distribution by 8:30 p.m.

You people…well, you know.

It’s worth it if you can get over a hundred a piece per ticket online… assuming you got a good spot.

Okay, let’s assume a scalper started camping out on Monday morning at 8am (some people where). By the time 830pm Friday rolls around that is 84.5 hours. Let’s also assume you are getting 4 tickets and you actually get a $100 a ticket through a 3rd party sale. That would be $400. So, the scalper just made $4.73 per hour for their effort.

This isn’t even taking into account your tangible costs. Food, beverages, burning vacation time (if you have a job that pays vacation or maybe your even taking time away from work unpaid).

So, is it still worth it to all the scalpers that are going to sell their tickets?

I think not. You have LOST money.

So there are supposed to be close to six hundred tents put down for this, but I can’t see how that many tents could possibly fit in those little grassy areas around Memorial. Is there a big field of tents somewhere that is not being shown in the pictures?

I heard everyone jumped the gun and security gave up on trying to enforce anything. With 4 tickets per person, how many do you think are scalping?
