Team USA finalists announced, all three Wildcats advanced

John Calipari’s group of FIBA World Cup hopefuls has been narrowed down to 18 players out in Colorado Springs.

Among those 18, three Wildcats and several Wildcat targets made the cut.

Here’s the full list of finalists:

Chuma Okeke

Payton Pritchard

Mitchell Robinson
Quinton Rose
PJ Washington
Austin Wiley

Duke’s Marques Bolden, a former UK target, was one of the players cut from competition and sent home from Colorado.

The final 12-man roster will be named later this week.

    Something tells me Bolden wouldn’t have done well at UK last year anyway. He might have gotten the SKJ treatment and kept his chair warm every game like he did at Duke

      Good catch! There are 17 names on the list of 16 players… interesting. I’m anxious to see who makes the final 12. I greedily hope all of our players and the guys we’re going after make it.
