Tai Wynyard is ready for his closeup

@KentuckyMBB

While his teammates spend a few days at home for the holidays, New Zealand big man Tai Wynyard is making himself at home in Lexington. Wynyard and teammate Marcus Lee were at the UK Hoops game last night, and today, Wynyard did a photoshoot at the Joe Craft Center.

Take a look at him in his new UK uniform:

If you don’t already, follow Wynyard on SnapChat (username: taiw) for plenty of behind-the-scenes pics and videos. The kid snaps more than Drew Franklin, which is saying something.

    He and Marcus passed by us last night at the game. He was smiling ear-to-ear as he walked by and everyone cheered them. Good to see them supporting the girls.

      Odd, considering his Maori descendants’ tradition of full body tattoos.

      Presumably you mean “his Maori ancestors’ tradition”. I doubt he has any descendents yet.

    Just casually watching the bowl games and thinking about how much better pretty much any team is than we are. How can they take average players and coach them up and we can’t seem to do that?

    I would think that Tai will be a pleasant addition to the team. We’ll be fine by March. I’d rather the team fly under the radar during the season and make a run at the end. I think our schedule will certainly help us get ready for March.
