Someone’s still giving Duke their first-place vote in the Coaches Poll

Screen Shot 2015-01-05 at 12.20.23 PM

Man, Mondays are getting redundant, aren’t they? After the Cats were the unanimous #1 in the AP poll for the 5th straight week, the USA Today/Coaches Poll was released, and one coach is STILL giving Duke their first place vote. I’d show you the list of voters again, but by this point, it’s clear it’s Jim Boeheim, right?

On the list of #BBNProblems, complaining that one coach didn’t give UK their first-place vote has to be at the top.

Don’t pay attention to the “Coaches Poll”. It’s usually an assistant or an assistant’s assistant filling out the poll. Coaches have better things to do with their time.

If we relied on opinions….Alabama would be playing Florida St for the championship next week. Just imagine how many national champions have been crowned throughout the years that didn’t deserve to be playing in the championship game!!

At least Duke will lose 1-4 ACC games this year. They played a really really weak noncon outside of Wisconsin.

Seems like they always play a weak nonconference schedule, probably bc they know they have a tough conference schedule. And we do the opposite bc SEC sucks. Makes sense.

UL has always done the same thing too, remember how pathetic their noncon was last year?

I can’t wait for that game at Louisville. Might be the only time I cheer for little bro. Duke should still be undefeated by then and all the focus will be on Shitchefski’s 1,000th win. One of them will definitely be going down, so it’s all good either way.

I guess their playing to a scoreless tie is a little too much to hope for?

You could always cheer for the roof…. stranger things have happened… it could fall in.

I’m kinda hoping for a massive raw sewage backup to flood the arena. That would work, too.

Katya, back when Denny Crum was at UL, they routinely played one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the country. UNC, UCLA (when they were good), Duke, Indiana (when they were good), etc. Not to mention UK. That was actually one of the few things I respected about UL. The weak non-con is a Pitino thing.

Yeah, not knocking Denny Crum. UL wasn’t always the slimy program it is today.

That’s because they played in weak conferences, the Metro and Conference USA. They had to play a better non conference schedule. Just beause Crum is old and friends with Joe B doesn’t mean U of L wasn’t slimy back then.

Tommy Amaker at Harvard played and coached at Duke so I wouldn’t look past him either.

Nope, I with you. Who cares, we have a tourney to decide who’s number one.

Cats are receiving 95 of 96 first place votes. Can you think of any other area of life where 98.9 % of people will agree?
