Signature Win Makes Kentucky A Dangerous 3-Seed

bracketology

It’s never too early for a little bracket prediction, and after this weekend, that finally looks fun for the first time this season.  Kentucky’s previously “O-fer” record against ranked teams put them in a tough spot, but a win over a top ten Louisville team gave Sports Illustrated reason to think there’s hope in Lexington come March:

3. Kentucky (10-3, LW: On the cusp)

Beat a team like Louisville while looking like a team that earned the preseason No. 1 ranking? Yeah, that’s enough to jump up to a 3-seed from the outside in a week. After a week off, the Wildcats will start SEC play with games against Mississippi State and Vanderbilt.

The Wildcats join Duke, Memphis, and Florida as fellow 3-seeds, and is predicted in the Midwest bracket.  Not too shabby for one week; hopefully it will only go up from there once conference play starts.
