Sean Woods has found another head coaching job.
The Unforgettable Kentucky Wildcat will be named the head coach at Southern University this afternoon. Woods left his last head coaching job in disgrace. He resigned form Morehead State after two players accused Woods of physically abusing them during halftime of a game at Evansville. The matter was resolved following a guilty plea and a six-month diversion program.
Woods returned to the sideline last season as an assistant at Stetson. Now he’s back in the SWAC, the conference he rose to the top of back in 2012. Woods was named coach of the year for taking the once abysmal Mississippi Valley program to the NCAA Tournament.
Hopefully the familiar setting will help Woods revitalize his coaching career.
