Sam Malone and the Caliparis go way back

malone-calipari

Sam Malone tweeted an old photo he found back home today that proves just how long he has known the Calipari family. It’s a shot of Sam and his brother Joe hanging out with the three Calipari kids back in the day, long before Erin (far right) was a Twitter superstar.

That’s Sam on the far left and a young Brad Calipari crushing some food at the head of the table.

If you look real hard, you’re probably perverted.

But if you look closely, you will see ‘consideration’ exchange over/under the table, to allow the fella to walk on. It is likely a similar situation to Massiello in that maybe the kid wanted to continue Basketball, learn the coaching business, etc.I think it shows tremendous familial loyalty. That’s awesome.

So a kid who has no business being on the UK basketball team and probably no D1-D3 school gets to wear the blue and white cause his family is friends with CAL. This is BS. Sam Malone and Brian Long suck so bad it’s not even funny

If Cal let Kentucky boys walk on with the same/slightly better skills than Long and Malone have, do you even REALIZE the sh*t Cal (and KSR Pre-game show listeners) would have to hear about them not getting enough playing time?!?! Its a sad truth.

“‘Ey ourta let that boh from Woodford Co. play more! He knows what da name on da front of da jersey means! But ‘ey better not lose no games. Oh, and win ’em all by 40!! Go Bi-yug Blue.”

      He’s a walk-on. Good grief.

I think that Malone and Long being on UK’s team would be more of a issue if they played in the games.

Quit complaining, by all accounts they’re great kids and their grades have a positive impact on the team GPA & APR.

    • That would be offensive

Only scholarship players count towards APR. If walk-ons did that would be something worth getting angry about.

      1) A female friend of mine was at a party with a hot tob that she and some friends were in just having a good time. Same Malone comes in the tub and immediately starts trying to sweet talk her into the bedroom. After she declined multiple times, stood up and said “Well what good are you” and left.

      2) Play a lot of ball at the Johnson Center. Every time Malone is there, he’ll “cut lines” and play before his turn. Not to mention he’s one of the worst players on the court.

Yeah, so glad this great young man is on this UK team. EJ Floreal, now THAT’S a walk-on.
