Sacha Killeya-Jones to Transfer to N.C. State

Sacha Killeya-Jones has found a new home.  The former Kentucky Wildcat forward announced he will transfer to N.C. State for his final two years of college basketball.

A former McDonald’s All-American, the move to Raleigh will not be far from his childhood home of Chapel Hill.  Killeya-Jones must sit out this fall before he is eligible to play for former Louisville assistant Kevin Keatts in the 2019-20 season.

In two years at Kentucky, Killeya-Jones averaged 3.3 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.  He averaged 13 minutes per game this season after appearing in only 15 games as a freshman.

Right on EZ! People forget that what makes the fan happy, isn’t always what makes the kid happy. Same people who force their own children into a life and profession their child hates, then can’t understand why the grown up child is depressed and never talks to them.

Honestly, I’m with Ettish. If the guy wasn’t so dumb he would have ended up at UNC. After going through that bs in the tournament last year, I don’t have much respect for anyone who would join that sham of a basketball program. Just another example of a generation of players who would rather quit on their team than work to get better and actually earn minutes.

He was twice as good as the guy playing ahead of him. He should’ve left.

Trouble is you don’t earn minutes, if you are not a possible NBA Draft pick you not going to play unless by emergency. Cal will not sit a potential Draft Pick, would hurt the players stock and its all about the players, who play here for 35 or so games. I’m sick of it and we can forgot a title until we keep quality players with experience…..EXPERIENCE wins, not saying you can’t mix in a 1 and done or 2 per year. But this 5 to 7 FR each year will not win a title.

I agree. He didn’t want to be here, or he would be here. Good riddance.

If he’d started in Carolina’s Fake Classes Program he could’ve transferred to Harvard. Bartender, A’s for the house…

Wish he had stayed the course at UK; but, you’re right, anything with UNCheat and academics in the same sentence is hilarious.

N.C.State, along with Kansas and Loserville, are the latest three schools to be implicated in the FBI scandal. I wish Sacha the best of luck, but I wonder if that’s the best decision.

Best of luck to SKJ. There were definitely times this past season when I scratched my head as to why we didn’t put him in the game.

Best of luck to him. I always liked this young man. He’s got talent, just needs to add muscle.

If he is not getting the PT here that he thought he would, then it makes sense for him to leave and go with a lesser program. No judgments here.

Good luck SKJ, I don’t blame you for making the decision that you made, last season was tough for you especially playing behind someone you was obviously better than. GL and I hope you kick some ass??
