Teammates react to Sacha Killeya-Jones’ dunk

With only a little more than three minutes left in the game and Kentucky clinging on to a two-point lead, Sacha Killeya-Jones went up over two Tennessee players to put back Wenyen Gabriel’s missed shot. Killeya-Jones timed it perfectly and threw it home with two hands as UK fans blew the roof off the Scottrade Center in excitement.

It was the game-winning play, according to Wenyen Gabriel. Quade Green called it “nasty.”

Hear their reactions to Killeya-Jones’ shining moment that helped clinch yet another SEC Tournament title for the Cats:

We were damn LUCKY that there was an automatic commercial break there because the players off the bench going after him was just WAITING for a T !!!!
If you noticed an assistant was pushing and jerking players off the court and Cal’s face was a totally pissed off face! I’m REALLY glad we were fortunate there.

It was referring to the producer nerd on Hey Kentucky who coined the put-back dunk as Shark Attack.

It’s funny to me that possibly the best nickname for a putback slam was coined by a guy who doesn’t watch sports at all. I can’t see one without thinking “OOOOH! SHARK ATTACK!”
