Rock Oliver got paid, too

Lost in all of the excitement around the assistant coaches’ new contracts was the news that Rock Oliver inked a new deal with UK too.

The Kentucky basketball strength and conditioning coach will make $170,000 annually over the next two years. His previous deal was set to expire on June 30.

He will also receive incentives based on the team’s performance on the court and in the classroom, but it’s unclear if there is a package to reward him for flexing his guns on the bench.

I bet Mrs. Tyler is ecstatic. Chris thinks $170,000 is pocket change.

KSR caller Chris probably thinks Rock Oliver qualifies for food stamps.

Did the Bengals get rid of Rock or Did he leave on his own?

In the NFL it was well known that he basically gave the players steroids. I’m sure he does here too.

What DOESN’T a Louisville troll NOT “know well”?

Why don’t they apply for NCAA Rules Enforcement Committee and start crackin’ down?!?!?

Problems frickin’ solved, and UL would finally be able to have clean refs and a fair recruiting advantage. Hell, they just might have a chance to beat us! No, wait…… 😉

thought we were getting rid of this chump … why can’t we let Korem increase his staff to cover bball?

Im sorry but Roc needs to give his pay check back because our kids have looked, acted, and played out of shape for the psst two years. We need Eric team working with the football team running the bb strength & conditioning.

How in the world did Rock let Dakari play all year with a gut?

Actually, Rock does appear to be the weak link in Cal’s Good Old Boy club. Even Shabazz Napier commented the Cats weren’t conditioned.

Big Mistake!!!…Sweat…Rock has a GUT…This was a good time to turn the conditioning program over to Eric Korem and let his staff get this bunch in real shape…I would agree that RO is the weak link in Cal’s program…This team was in bad shape…I would almost bet that if Korem had this bunch all summer and fall that you would see a vast difference in their conditioning before next season began..

They should have let his contract expire. By the end of the season Randle was pudgy, Dakari was still out of shape and Poythress was too skinny.
