RJ Barrett cuts final list to five, Kentucky included

The No. 1 player in the class of 2018 just cut his list to five, and the Kentucky Wildcats were included.

RJ Barrett, a 6’7 small forward out of Canada, recently reclassified to 2018 from 2019, and nearly all recruiting services list him as one of the top two players in the nation.

After seeing Kentucky’s recent success with Canadian prospects, it’s no surprise the Wildcats are one of the top schools on his list.

247 Sports’ Crystal Ball currently has UK in third, but most recruiting experts believe Kentucky is in fantastic position to land the five-star forward.

Watch him drop 38 points and 13 rebounds on Calipari’s Team USA squad in Egypt:

Bring him on home, Coach Cal.

Is it default to put Duke as the fav to win all recruits now? Cal has slipped a couple steps. He needs better assistance.

Yeah still pulling in the top 2 class every year but he’s slipping.

Many services have Williamson as the number 1, and Kentucky as the leader for him.

Wow. Kansas is ahead of us in the crystal ball picks and they arent even in his top 5. These “experts” are robbing people that pay on those stupid sites.

They have Kansas second and he just cut them so I wouldn’t worry about what these “recruiting experts” think.

Didn’t the Crystal Ball have Duke as the favorite for Kevin Knox as well!? Cal is fine – I will continue to trust in him.

Kanas has twice the chance we do, and they’re not in his final five….what a neat trick that would be.
Meanwhile Duke has played the game of offering Reddish’s best friend, Tre Jones; but, we are in a good position to get a player ranked higher than Jones, that being Quickley.
Let’s stop listening to idiot “experts” and wait for the decisions before we start crying.

Barrett’s choices aren’t listed in alphabetical order as he says. Kentucky should be between Duke and Michigan… just sayin

I think he put it as University of Kentucky, which would be right.

If these guys can reclassify that easily, can he reclassify again and come to UK asap? Can’t be that hard.
