Rick Pitino called UK’s defense one of the greatest he’s seen in 40 years

Rick Pitino, fresh off his seventh loss to John Calipari in six seasons, had no problem giving praise to the Wildcats. UK’s former head coach called Kentucky’s defense one of the best he’s seen in 40 years. He said Kentucky’s length is incredible and it prevented his team from feeding Montrezl Harrell the ball in the post.

Rick also had good things to say about Tyler Ulis, the game’s MVP. Pitino told reporters, “I’ve loved him from the moment I started watching him. He’s a great point guard.”
