As John Calipari predicted on his radio show Monday night, Kentucky forward PJ Washington did, in fact, get his cast off on Tuesday.
According to Dave Baker of WKYT, the Wildcat sophomore was in Wisconsin yesterday to see a specialist, where they took the hard cast off of his sprained foot.
His status for Kentucky’s game against Houston on Friday night, however, remains in question.
PJ Washington’s cast on his foot was removed yesterday, according to a source familiar with the situation.
Washington’s status for Friday night’s Sweet 16 game with 3-seed Houston is still in doubt as of Wednesday morning. Washington was back in Wisconsin for the second time in a week to see a specialist.
It is unknown whether Washington had another cast on, if he is in a walking boot or if he is cleared to practice.
Kentucky will head to Kansas City this afternoon and then have practice and media sessions on Thursday.
PJ Washington just sent out a video of him walking without a boot or cast… in basketball shoes and Kentucky practice gear….
